The LOGREENER Project has created its toolkit for local energy transition planning, being publicly accessible and transferable at: reselplan-toolbox.eu/logreener.
The LOGREENER toolkit has been built on the synthesis of the COMPOSE, PRISMI and LOCAL4GREEN upscaled outputs, integrating successful initiatives supporting local and regional energy transition:
- COMPOSE offers step-by-step guidance to a more efficient process to designing, implementing and monitoring sustainable energy projects and access to design tools, databases, best practices and a wide library of resources.
- PRISMI offers methods and tools for modelling renewable energy scenarios and assessing the feasibility of integrating renewable energy systems at local level.
- LOCAL4GREEN focuses on the development of local fiscal policies that promote renewable energy initiatives, offering practical examples for leveraging local taxes and incentives to support the energy transition.
The LOGREENER toolkit has been created as a user-friendly online platform that guide you step-by-step an efficient bottom-up development planning process, and where you can find:
- Practical tools, practical guidance, recent policies and resources for Sustainable Energy Planning.
- Practical tools and resources for RES scenario modelling and green fiscal policies.
- Case studies from different Mediterranean countries, aiming to green transition at the local level, including case studies of RES scenario modelling and green taxation.
- Capacity building and training materials and resources aimed to support all relevant stakeholders in understanding and using the toolkit and its components effectively.
The LOGREENER toolkit is designed for policy makers and development planners, local authorities’ technical staff and other stakeholders like energy and development agencies, who are involved in local and regional green transition planning.
The LOGREENER toolkit has been applied in different kind of municipalities from Bosnia-Herzegovina, Croatia, Greece, Italy, Slovenia and Spain, demostrating that it is a flexible tool capable of adapting to the needs and circumstances of each territory.
